About the Position:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will act as a strategic partner to our customers, providing continuous support and expertise to enhance their cybersecurity capabilities. Your mission is to ensure customers fully leverage their security tools, optimize their configurations, and strengthen their defenses. You will also play a vital role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in cybersecurity within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Strategy Support: Guide customers in elevating their cybersecurity maturity by aligning their configurations with strategic security objectives.
- Customer Relationships: Build trust with customers, propose strategic improvements, and identify opportunities to optimize their security programs.
- Continuous Improvement Sessions: Plan and lead technical sessions to help customers optimize their cybersecurity tools tailored to their specific risks.
- Develop Security Procedures: Design processes that enhance customer resilience and threat response capabilities.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert, continuously learning and contributing to the development of Widefense.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share strategic insights with both customers and internal teams, driving collaborative growth in cybersecurity.
- Stay Updated: Collaborate with vendors and stay informed about emerging threats and technologies.
- Platform Management: Proactively manage and optimize customers' cybersecurity platforms to maximize performance.
- Incident Response: Address critical incidents promptly and efficiently, collaborating with the SOC and applying advanced analysis.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Computer Engineering, Computer Science, - - Electronics Engineering, or related fields (minimum 10 semesters).
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge in security tools such as anti-malware, firewalls, DLP, IPS, and proxies.

Certifications:
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA CySA+
- CompTIA CASP+
Desirable:
- Experience: Previous experience in cybersecurity.
- Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (CIS, NIST, MITRE).
- SOC/CSIRT Knowledge: Understanding of NIST methodology in SOC/CSIRT operations.
- ISO Standards: Knowledge of ISO 27001.
- System Hardening: Familiarity with system architecture and NAC technology.
- Networking: Understanding of OSI TCP/IP and software maintenance tasks.
Additional Information
- Hybrid work model with occasional in-office presence required. Initial onboarding will be fully on-site.
